Overview
Community-Engaged Alliance (CEA) is excited to introduce the Scholar-Practitioner Funded Program, which supports faculty, students, and community partners in collaboratively addressing community-identified issues. This program empowers participants to engage in research and develop innovative interventions based on their research. By integrating high-impact educational practices, the program enhances learning experiences, strengthens civic engagement, and builds problem-solving skills in real-world contexts.
Throughout the 6-to-18-month program, project teams will identify a community need, utilize an inquiry-based approach to understand that need, and develop an intervention to address the need. Participants will gain hands-on experience in problem definition, research methodologies, intervention design, and project implementation, while also assessing the impact of their work on student learning and community outcomes. Awardees will join a peer-to-peer learning community to share best practices and collaborate with fellow faculty and community leaders across Indiana. The program offers up to $7,500 in funding to support selected projects, with proposal deadlines throughout the year.
