Community-Engaged Partnership Assessment Tool

Overview

Effective, authentic, and equitable partnerships are the foundation of impactful community engagement. But how do you know if your partnership is thriving — or where it needs to grow?

The Community-Engaged Partnership Assessment Tool was developed to help academic institutions and community organizations explore and identify partnership values that support more effective collaboration. Created with CEA funding by Dr. Angela Coppola, Former CEA Senior Faculty Fellow, this tool draws from the latest community engagement research and is continually being refined and iterated based on feedback from real-world usage.

Whether you’re a faculty member, community engagement professional, or nonprofit partner, this tool offers a practical, easy-to-use framework to evaluate key aspects of collaboration — from transparency and communication to shared leadership and sustainable outcomes.
