Board Welcome: J.D. Lux 

Community-Engaged Alliance is pleased to welcome J.D. Lux, General Counsel for Indiana State University, to our Board of Directors. 

J.D. brings more than fifteen years of higher education legal experience to the CEA. Before joining Indiana State University in January 2025, he served as College Counsel at Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana (2009–2022) and University Counsel at Auburn University (2022–2025). His extensive background in institutional governance and higher education law will provide valuable insight as CEA continues to strengthen partnerships between Indiana’s colleges, universities, and communities. 

A proud Franklin College alumnus (B.A. 1990), J.D. went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the Pettit College of Law at Ohio Northern University (1993). He is admitted to practice law by the Supreme Courts of Indiana and Alabama, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana.
